The Marshall Capital in PTS

Based on a Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart bus chassis, "Dennis" used to be the sixth unlock-able bus ingame, but there are some more vehicles added befor Dennis. Dennis used to only have a top speed of 55 km/h in version 1.13, but then was upgraded to 110-120 km/h in later updates. Dennis drives quite well due to short wheel base, small turning circle and has quite a silent engine.

Real-life History[]

The Marshall Capital was a single-decker "midibus" body built by Marshall Bus (later by MCV Bus and Coach) between 1997 and 2003. It was typically placed on the Dennis Dart SLF chassis and rarely placed on the MAN 11.220 chassis. This is a popular town bus that was built until 2003, inside London, this bus has 2 doors whereas outside London, this bus has only 1 door.

The most significant buyer was First London, purchasing more than 400 on the Dart SLF chassis for its Centrewest, Capital and London Buslines fleets. Many have been cascaded to other FirstGroup subsidiaries, across large parts of the UK. MTL purchased 76 for their London operations - all of which passed to Metroline in 1998 - as well as 75 for their Merseyside fleet. Other notable customers were London Central, Halton Transport, Warrington Borough Transport and Isle of Man Transport.

When Marshall Bus was closed in 2002, MCV Bus and Coach bought the design of the Capital body and production continued. MCV built only five Capital bodies on Dart SLFs for Warrington Borough Transport before TransBus ceased supplying Dart SLF chassis to MCV for body assembly. The Marshall Dart is still used in many towns today and will continue to do so for many years to come.
